Jo and I came home from the NIH on Saturday night. Little Anna and my mom came back to Denver from Minnesota on Tuesday morning. It is great to be home and we are all settling back into a routine.
Jo is getting close to being back to full strength. She will now send blood samples back to the NIH every week and we'll fly back to Bethesda in 3 months for our first checkup. Every day she takes cyclosporin, which is a drug that suppresses her immune system and gives the ATG a chance to do its job. With a little luck, we will hopefully see improvements to her blood counts within a month or so. Stay tuned!!!

As I was line dancing in Baltimore on Friday evening, we were doing This Little Light I was thinking about you and Tim over at the hospital and was hoping that you could get a night out before you flew home. I'm so glad you are home and finished with the treatment and reunited with your beautiful daughter. You are always in my prayers.

Good news indeed, for both of you. You are both one in a million Tim and were meant to take this journey together. Thinking about you and missing you here in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Ah...for the good old days...

I'm quite sure you will agree that all the medicine in the world can't compare with how a hug from that sweet little girl can make you feel! So glad to hear you are home and together as a family. Still keeping you all in our prayers.

Thank you for keeping us all informed. I have just caught up with all your news.
My goodness poor Jo has suffered. Let's hope she will continue to gain strength and pretty soon!!
I have taken cyclosporine for a totally different reason. It did me the power of good. I hope it does the same for Jo.
I'm glad you are all home again and that the blood samples will bring you good news.
Best wishes, Val
I have been reading about Jo's progress and am so relieved that she has overcome this tough last hurdle and hopefully will soon be on her way back to full strength. Many line dancers here in Toronto, Canada ask me on a regular basis about Jo -- she is someone whom we all admire and love and who has brought us so much pleasure over the years.
She was an inspiration to me as a budding choreographer. I took a choreography class from her a number of years ago and her advice, wise words and genuine interest gave me enormous encouragement.
Please pass along to her our very best wishes for a speedy recovery and our hope that she will soon be back on the dancefloor again with us all.
I should add that the photos of little Anna have charmed us all and everyone appreciates you taking the time to keep us up to date with Jo's treatment and progress.
