A Bump in the Road

Last Sunday, Jo started to have headaches and by Monday night her head hurt bad enough that we needed to go to the Emergency Room at Sky Ridge Medical Center, Spa & Resort. If you haven't been to the new Sky Ridge facility in Lone Tree, you really should go and take a tour. It is more like a hotel than a hospital.

Monday night, Jo was admitted to the hospital and tonight she will spend her second night there. They have done lots of tests, but so far they have not figured out what is causing the headaches. Anybody that knows Jo, knows that she has a pretty high pain threshold, so her pain has to be pretty bad for her to be in the hospital.

Rats! We are getting so used to getting just great news that this was really unexpected. It's unnerving not to have an answer but I suspect it might be her body telling her she just pushed things a little too much and she needs to slow down! Let's hope that's all it is!! *nods alot cuz that will make it true!*

I'm so sorry to hear that. Maybe it will be a simple fix as I had many years ago. Don't let them rule out sinus infection. I had no symptoms of a sinus infection except the spike going through the top of my head. A week and a half later and after two different kinds of steriods didn't help, they were going to do a CAT scan. The day before it was scheduled, my chiropractor figured it out.

Our prayers are with you guys, as always. Love, Rhonda Mattson

Tim - give Jo a hug from me - we sure hope this is only a minor detour. The sinus infection thing is not a bad idea though - allergies are out of control this Spring. Headaches are strange things too - can be triggered by lots of different things. Here's wishing the stay in the hospital (even if it is like a hotel) is over by the time I post this!
