Hibernating Through the Winter

I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving. Anna had several more Thanksgiving outfits and our digital camera is almost worn out. Thank you to Paul and Staci Giovino for having us over to their house for a wonderful Thanksgiving feast!!! And don’t worry. We did not make Anna wear the Turkey outfit to Paul and Staci’s house.

As for us, we are in hibernation mode, trying to avoid any colds or the flu. Jo had to get platelets the day before Thanksgiving and then again last Friday. Our next big doctor appointment will be December 29th at M.D. Anderson in Houston. Until then, no news is good news in regard to Jo’s health.

Our house is now going to be ready for us around the middle of January. As soon as we get back from our trip to TX for Christmas, we will begin making preparations for the move.

My mom flew back to Minnesota the day after Thanksgiving to help my father pack up their lake home for the winter and then drive back to Colorado. The week she was gone, we had a cousin of mine fly in from Minnesota to help us with Anna. Except for a trip to Arizona while Jo and I visit her family in Texas, my mom and dad will stay with us until we have some other form of help arranged.

Hi Jo, this is Lou Ann in Southern California. We here are keeping track of your recovery! You are lucky to have such a wonderful family.......your husband writes so well, he should consider it as a second career.

I am sure Joann Brady told you that several hundred of us got up in Vegas two weeks ago and danced Little Light of Mine in your honor. We did it again last night at a social......everyone in the room got up and danced for you. Some positive energy went your way!

You are in our thoughts and we hope for all the best for you and your family in the New Year.

Hugs

Lou Ann

I'm a line dance instructor and I've taught many of Jo's dances in the past. We dance at least two of them every weekend.

This is the first I've heard of Jo's medical problems. I'm saddened by what I've read and yet I'm inspired by your strength as a family. I'm happy to hear that things are at least at an even level.

I wish a speedy recovery to Jo and a Happy Holiday season to all of you.

Jo and Tim,

Gosh, I've wondered what happened to you guys. I got married and haven't danced as much since. It's so sad to see Jo dealing with medical issues, but I'm positively thrilled to see baby Anna!!!! She's just beautiful!

Lots of prayers and recovery vibes coming your way.

Jo and Tim~

Congratulations! Your baby is every bit as beautiful as the two of you!!

They recently opened a new dance club here in Pittsburgh, so I went online to refresh my memory on some of Jo's dances and was quite surprised to see this blog. I am so sorry to hear of Jo's medical problems and I will keep all of you in my prayers for a full and speedy recovery.

Tim, thanks so much for keeping us updated. I will be checking often. If there is anything we can do, please let us know.

Love, Evonne and Ron Thomas

Hi Tim, Jo and Beautiful Anna,

I have just learned of your situation and just know that God will be with you. Jo, you are one of the the most generous, kind and positive people I know. You never have a bad word to say about anyone or anything. You have a very loving husband and a beautiful daughter. You are truly blessed and will continue to be blessed because of the wonderful people you are.
Remember all of the good times we had at Enon Valley? You never complained even tho it was about 20 degrees in your cabin. I think about the old times a lot lately and you and Tim are always among my favorite memories. You'll be dancing again soon. You'll be teaching ANNA body rolls and SNAP Jack and all the wonderful line dances you have choreographed as soon as she can walk. You are the BEST. Tim thank you for keeping us updated. God Bless. You are in my prayers and Have a Wonderful Holiday Season.

Hi Jo -

We are keeping your line dance legacy alive here in Colorado Springs! As usual, we come up with new songs to do tried and true dances too - so one of your (and Jamie Marshall's) all time favorite dances Bump-N-Grind is working out very nicely to Play Something Country (Brooks and Dunn)

We are having a great time with it and a brand new crop of line dancers are looking forward to meeting you on the dance floor soon as you are able!

Take care - and you, Tim and Anna have a very Merry Christmas!
