Physical and Occupational Therapy wasted no time getting Jo back on her feet today. She is walking with a walker, but she made several trips back and forth across the room, practicing various movements and proper technique for getting on and off the bed. I must admit, it was humbling to see one of the most graceful people I have ever known, now reduced to steps of no more than 4 to 6 inches in length.
For the most part, though, today was still a day of half finished sentences. Jo would start to say something and then she would fall asleep before she could finish. She would reach for her Starbuck's cup and then fall asleep with the cup only half way to her mouth. No matter how hard she fought it, her eyelids would get too heavy to hold up. 3 or 4 seconds later, she would wake back up and wonder how she had lost yet another battle with the sleep monster. Jo now has a much deeper understanding of my entire college experience.

We can't Thank You enough for keeping us posted on Jo's progression.
We will never know the amount of difficulty it took Anna or any of our children to learn moves that most of us adults take for granted. Jo is relearning - like a Senior taking Line Dancing for the first time at age 75. One Step at a Time!
Tim - a Knight in Shining Armour - please take care of yourself while taking care of Jo and Anna.
Our Thoughts, Prayers and Love go out to all the Thompson-Szymanski families.

I know that you are loved and prayed for by your fans and supporters. It's always a tough road to recovery. But it is done 1 step at a time. I myself have full left & right hip replacements, a knee and shoulder replacement. Physical therapy is painful but a necessary step to recovery. Your public has only good thought and prayers for your full recovery.
God Bless you all.

Have been following your life and would like to say that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Jo has always been my role model and inspiration for teaching line dancing in England.
