In November 2004, Jo and I found out that we were going to have a baby! At the same time, Jo was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia - a medical term that means her bone marrow was failing; it was no longer doing its job of producing white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets. On June 17th, 2005, Jo gave birth to a beautiful baby girl - Anna Claire Szymanski. Anna's health was perfect and has continued to be perfect! This Blog is dedicated to Jo’s journey along the road to recovery.

The best part about Dr. Alvarez's Halloween costume is that it will also work next month for Thanksgiving!!!

Hmmm, interesting - are you certain that Dr. Alverez doesn't moonlight with the Village People when they come to Denver?
Heard a whisper that you weren't well so checked out your website.
Just a quick message to let you know that I'm sending my love, good wishes and hope to all of you.... POSITIVE THOUGHTS... just a little but just enough so you know I'm thinking of you all.
Really miss you, and hope to see you again some time soon!
Me and my family have had our own trauma to deal with over the past 2 years... my mum (who you met if you remember at that workshop in Manchester where I brought my mum, dad and sister to see you and AT... it was my Dad's birthday) was diagnosed with Bipolar Affective Disorder (Manic Depression) in the September of 2003. It's a difficult illness to cope with as it's changed mum (probably forever) but we all live in hope that her next visit to the hospital won't have to happen (she's been in 3 times already over the space of 18 months).
Anyway, drop me a line sometime, it would be so good to hear from you... I'm working as a casino dealer now, been doing it a year and love it (finally found a career I love!)... hopefully I'll get to America with it... looking to get on the cruise ships some time soon.
Tim: Thank you keeping us informed of Jo's health. She is so admired and loved in the dance community. I have a friend that I work with who was diagnosed with this disease when she was 6 years old. She is now 9 years old and it has started back up again full blast.

Hi Jo,
I'm sure you won't remember me, my name is Glenn Rogers we met briefly some years ago when I was singing at a UK event you attended.
Just wanted to say 'hey' and let you know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
God Bless,
Glenn.
