In November 2004, Jo and I found out that we were going to have a baby! At the same time, Jo was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia - a medical term that means her bone marrow was failing; it was no longer doing its job of producing white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets. On June 17th, 2005, Jo gave birth to a beautiful baby girl - Anna Claire Szymanski. Anna's health was perfect and has continued to be perfect! This Blog is dedicated to Jo’s journey along the road to recovery.

Anna is the cutest little pumpkin in the patch!
Jo and Tim - best wishes from all the line dancers in Colorado Springs - you have our support!
Now, is that the CUTEST little pumpkin you've ever seen, or what? Wow, has she grown since I saw her in July. AND, she sure does look happy!
Just know that I continue to keep you all in my daily prayers.
Strength in numbers, and you certainly have it from the dance community.
What a wonderful idea keeping the website updated with the family's journey to recovery. Thanks Tim, for the hard work and time that will go into it on a daily/weekly basis.
wow your pumpkin is beautiful...and no surprise ...look at her mama and you too tim...very big grin.
i donate platelets once a month here in fla and never really knew what they did with them except burn patients or chemo patients.
i would encourage all the dancing buddies out there to go and do it...donate and send platelets with love to all those folks out there like jo ... some things money can't buy.
