A Visit From Anna!

For the first time since November 1st, Jo and Anna spent the day together. Jo's counts are all better than they were before she left Denver and as long as Anna is healthy, ocassional visits are much enjoyed!

Jo did get to stay home from the hospital this weekend. On Saturday afternoon a nurse came by our apartment and showed Jo how to use a portable pump to self-administer her fluids. Not having to go into the hospital makes for a very relaxing weekend at home.

Tomorrow Jo gets her first post-transplant bone marrow biopsy (with sedation). Her counts are great and over time her bone marrow test should show strong, healthy marrow.

I'm sure that there was much joy that the 3 of you were together again after all that time. I can't believe that it's been over a month already since Jo was admitted to the hospital. With love in our hearts and lots of prayers, we're all watching you bravely round the bases and waiting for you to cross home plate. Go Jo Go!!!

What a wonderful way to start the month of December. Glad you were all able to spend some much neededed 'family time' together.

I'm loving that red hat on you. Of course, you've always looked good in red. I remember many many years ago you shooting a video in RED jeans.....and after it was finished you said you didn't think you'd wear them again. (big smile)

Love you and I continue to ask God to keep watching over all of you.
And I thank him for the strides he has allowed you to take in healing.

I forgot to say "good luck" tomorrow with the bone marrow biopsy.....thank goodness for sedation!

Congratulations on seeing Anna! What a happy reunion that must have been.

What? Another bone marrow biopsy so soon? They sure aren't letting you off easy on the testing. I hope that your strength continues to improve despite this procedure coming so soon after your hospital release.

I've been thinking back lately to one of my favorite memories of you in dance class in those early years. You were teaching junior high and high school girls how to do jazz layouts, and your demonstration was one of the most awesome dance moves I had ever seen. You arched the plane of the layout back so far that your head was not far from the ground. You were a college student at the time, and the rest of us younger girls couldn't even come close to imitating you.

If you're looking for something fun to fill a few of the minutes resting in your apartment, you might look up Anaheim Ballet videos on YouTube. They have some fun rehearsal videos posted, the latest of their Christmas show, and another with over 7 million views. You've probably seen them before, but I just discovered them this weekend and had fun viewing. Have a great week!
