Jo, Anna and Mamaw Rita come back to Denver on Wednesday. Jo has only had her blood checked once in Texas and her platelets were at 47,000.
In November 2004, Jo and I found out that we were going to have a baby! At the same time, Jo was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia - a medical term that means her bone marrow was failing; it was no longer doing its job of producing white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets. On June 17th, 2005, Jo gave birth to a beautiful baby girl - Anna Claire Szymanski. Anna's health was perfect and has continued to be perfect! This Blog is dedicated to Jo’s journey along the road to recovery.

Jo,
Thinking about you! I just heard recently about your health issues, and I'm glad to see that it appears from your blog that you're on an upswing?
You have touched so many people's lives in such positive ways - I hope you feel all of the positive vibes we're sending back!

I am watching your progress from Southern Indiana, after being transplanted from East Texas. I know you miss your dance, as I do watching you grow from that sweet 9 year old student so many years ago. When you feel up to it, please e-mail me a quick note. I would love to hear from you.
Love....
Judy
Jo,
My husband, Mike, and I have been following your progress after hearing through MaryEtta O'Day. Mike and I first met you here in Nashville at Rachel Vaughan's wedding. My husband still enjoys telling the story about asking you (not knowing then who you were) at the wedding if you could EC or WC Swing !! Your baby daughter is beautiful! We wish you the best with your progress and hope to see you again in Nashville soon. We saw Barry and Darianne Amato at the Nashville Palace last night and had fun learning your new line dance, San Antonio Stroll. Get well soon, Debbie Howell
Jo ... each Christmas I think of you as I hang an angel ornament that you made for me on my tree. I have many fond memories of our traveling together when you were Miss Texas. Recently, I joined a line dance class at our senior center and noticed that some of the dances were choreographed by you. I found your web site and have been faithfully following your progress. How blessed you are to have Tim, precious Anna and your devoted family. I am so thankful that you are doing well now. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers ... and always in my heart.

TRY BIO-FEEDBACK. I'VE USED IT FOR MANY YEARS. JUST PUT ON HEADPHONES WITH YOUR MOST MOVING MUSIC, LIE BACK,RELAX, AND TRANSPORT YOURSELF TO YOUR FAVORITE PLACE FOR 30 MIN. IT REALLY CAN HELP WITH ALL KINDS OF PHYSICAL RECOVERIES. I SEND MY LOVE,PRAYERS,AND HAPPINESS FOR A FUTURE FULL OF MUSIC,DANCE,LOVE, HEALTH AND HAPPINESS.
